From the laboratory of Academician Guo Guangcan’s research team at the University of Science and Technology of China to becoming China’s leading trapped-ion quantum computing enterprise pursuing the QCCD route, Unitary Quantum has come a long way over four years.

Over these four years, Unitary Quantum has secured a string of landmark breakthroughs.The company has completed multiple iterations of its full-stack trapped-ion quantum computing systems and realized commercial deliveries; it built China’s first cryogenic chip-based trapped-ion quantum computing prototype, achieving cryogenic ion trapping and ion transport. Its quantum computing system has passed the Quantum Volume (QV) 32 benchmark test, setting a new publicly reported national record in China.

Over these four years, Unitary Quantum’s steady growth has gained wide recognition.A slew of accolades and qualifications mark its four-year development journey, including the Gold Award at the Anhui Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Silver Award at the National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, High-tech Enterprise certification, Anhui Provincial Specialized, Refined, Unique & Innovative SME title, Anhui Provincial Postdoctoral Research Workstation, and the Advanced Collective Award for Contributions to High-quality Economic and Social Development of Hefei.

Today, Unitary Quantum’s 4th Anniversary Celebration was held at the Global Roadshow Center, Phase I of Zhongan Innovation Valley.

Professor Han Yongjian, Founder of Unitary Quantum, stated that the company has consistently focused on national strategic scientific and technological missions. Leading international trapped-ion quantum computing enterprises have continuously achieved groundbreaking progress. As the only domestic enterprise adopting the QCCD technical route for trapped-ion quantum computing, Unitary Quantum boasts first-mover advantages and a well-defined development roadmap. The company will persist in technological advancement and product iteration, and stride steadily toward the goals of practical quantum advantage and quantum error correction gain with solid achievements.

Bilingual webpages have been rolled out to better serve customers and partners at home and abroad.

For a quantum computing enterprise adhering to long-termism, the fourth anniversary signals the end of its fledgling stage and the gradual strengthening of its core capabilities.
